Ming began eleven years ago with an idea; the idea that artistic expression and function could be partnered in the creation of pipe tampers. Neither aspect would take a back seat to the other. Form and function would walk hand in hand, hence Ming’s motto: “art that works”. The functional art of Ming-Kahuna is about artistry, design, and impeccable craftsmanship.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind opportunity never to be seen again. Over the past decade I have created so many unique shapes and have worked with so many wonderful materials, that it’s impossible to present them all here and now for your consideration. But, if you visit here over time, you will begin to see what Ming-Kahuna is about. And whiIe at any one time I can only display a tiny portion of my work, I can guarantee that it will never be boring, almost always a lot of fun, and an experience in and of itself, one designed to greatly enhance your enjoyment of the pipe.
